Critics Consensus

Gangs of London's second season can sometimes border on a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing, but fans of the series' crunchy action and swaggering attitude ought to remain satisfied.

Gangs of London: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Camilla Long Times (UK) No matter how hard you watch, no matter how closely you listen, you will be unable to detect the faintest whisper of serious plot or even understand what people are saying before they break, inexplicably, into balletic ultra-violence. Oct 24, 2022 Full Review Gangs of London: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Hugo Rifkind Times (UK) Altogether, it’s like Guy Ritchie minus the jokes, which isn’t even a criticism because Ritchie’s jokes could be unbearable. It’s huge, it’s expensive and it’s glam as hell. Oct 21, 2022 Full Review Gangs of London: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Carol Midgley Times (UK) The acting performances are still very, very good, if you don’t mind the wall-to-wall evil. Rated: 3/5 Oct 21, 2022 Full Review Gangs of London: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene Just about every aspect of Gangs of London works. The question is whether you can handle the series’ pervasive nihilism and unapologetic barbarity. Oct 11, 2023 Full Review Gangs of London: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Aaron Phillips But Why Tho? A Geek Community Gangs of London is an action-packed thrill ride that will have your heart racing and begging for more. Rated: 10/10 Jan 14, 2023 Full Review Gangs of London: Season 2 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Kat Hughes THN The story is once more a warren of twists and turns with rivalry, resurrections, and ruthlessness around every corner. There are plenty of shocks and shake-ups to keep the viewer gripped to the edge of their seat. Rated: 5/5 Dec 19, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Matthew S Season 2 of the Gangs of London does not skip a beat. This show is serious and downright wicked. Watch this gem and ENJOY Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Laurence L Season 1 was superb! 5 stars! But season 2 was shaky. The trip always matters more than the destination! Season 2 had the viewers infuriated for the entire second half of the season, after a series of "killing off" beloved characters. While this was done intentionally to give us a great payoff at the end, the characters that we did INDEED lose along the way left us with more of a bitter taste than a sweet one. Long live the lost pawn! Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/27/24 Full Review Quirky G This season gets worse then the first. Again the premise of a network of gangs operating in London, with major shootouts, mass killings, and never any police presence is unrealistic. The one police connection, Elliot becomes enveloped and part of the Wallace gang, sometimes trying to figure out his allegiance. This is true of all the individual gangs and leaders, which are hard to keep track of, is who they are loyal too, and apparently flip flops. And the invisible controlling "gang" you only see a couple in a car, and never are revealed at the end. And even the government is corrupt in trying to end the gangs, almost wanting a cut of the action. Main characters are shot and one thinks killed, only to return in another episode or season. If one has ever watch a British police-crime series you realize this country has the best and most controled crime authority of any country in the world, and this series majorly contradicts that. It's unrealistic, but dramatic and violent enought to draw viewers. Sadly a 3rd season is planned. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Natnael B Perfect gang show episode 6 shocked me i remembered the way i react on that episode it was very intense thrilling. Can't wait for the next Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review Timothy M The conclusion ruins the entire show. Absolute waste of time. Shows like this make me want to see spoilers to avoid wasting my time. Trash ending. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Be Kind A The show was Great from season 1 and got better till the last episode.Great camera work and acting, Lots of things they did with the camera shots I have never seen before and Loved it!
